About Lady B, an IW 40

Lady B is an IW 40, built at the IW Varvet in Orust, Sweden. The design is by Sparkman and Stephens. She was built in 1983, and she is number 33 of aproximately 35 of her kind. Lady B was designed around the late 1970s as an offshore regatta sailboat, but she is today a heavy, steady tour sailer, excellent when beating and forereaching. Kamilla bought her in 2007, and since then, the boat has undergone many upgrades. She just got a new saloon (sewn with Ultrasuede fabric), new sails (North offshore sails), a wind generator (DuoGen), and a major restoration of the teak deck. These days, Lady B is being well taken care of, she is looking really good, and sailing wonderfully ;)
